Hydrogen is seen as the fuel for the future in the transport sector; a great medium to store energy for cleaner and more efficient use.

Yet we still need to answer both the question of how it will be created and how we deal with the risks associated with its explosive properties.

The Hydrogenetic plant could be one of the safest, least impactful and most efficient way to create hydrogen. The hydrogen is extracted from the surrounding sea water using the electricity of the water cooled solar tiles.

Pumped to the seabed, it is stored safely under natural pressure until it enters the pipelines to its final destination.

SOLAR TILES = COOL ENERGY

Heat reduces the output of today's solar cells by up to 1/3.

The floating solar tiles are designed to capitalize on the cooling effect of the water to increase output by up to 25%.

Each mass produced, watercooled solar tile is capable of creating 250 W, which is cheaper and more efficient than any land based system.

FUEL CELL

Using the existing sea water the fuel cell creates hydrogen which is pumped safely to the inflated hydrogen tanks on the sea floor. This eliminates most space and safety problems faced by terrestrial hydrogen plants. There is no ignition risk, as it is under water, which also acts to naturally pressurise the system.

HYDROGEN PIPELINE

Hydrogen will be distributed safely and efficiently in the cold, pressurised, underwater environment through a pipeline reaching locations long distances from the source.
