The Solar Mosque provides an opportunity to harness free and clean energy for all.

THE SOLAR TILES ARE INSPIRED BY TRADITIONAL BLUE MOSAICS IN ISLAMIC ARCHITECTURE.

The captured sunlight is used to generate electricity to power all the air-conditioning, lighting and other energy needs of the mosque and the surrounding community.

The Solar Mosque can power all its energy needs from the solar cells on its 20m dome. It is constructed from 350 interlocking diamond segments.

THE SOLAR MOSQUE CAN GENERATE OVER 70kW OF POWER

Which is more than enough to power all its air conditioning and lighting requirements.

Stunning in form and practical in function, the Solar Mosque is a powerful symbol for the future of energy use and sustainable design.

The unique mosaic pattern on the roof is possible through the use of SolarLab’s custom curved panel system as proven on the SolarShuttle.
